As I write this we are currently snowed in. The horses are in, safe and warm, but it has put riding to a halt so gives me a chance to give you all an update.

I have spent the off season backing a handful of very exciting babies which I really enjoy. It’s always fun to give them their start and see where they go in life.

My event horses had a holiday at the end of last year and are now back in full swing. We’ve been having lessons, show jumping and doing dressage in preparation for the 2018 season. I am excited to have Sambuca out and about again and looking forward to this year with her.

Finn is currently a dressage horse and just made his successful debut at Prix Saint George. Finn is 17 this year and is looking and feeling fantastic. We’re having a lot of fun with it and I hope we will be able to continue to go up the levels. He is thoroughly enjoying this semi-retirement and taking great pleasure in teaching my working pupils all the moves at home too.

The season for me starts at Tweseldown which is in less than a week so I am hoping the weather doesn’t hamper the preparation too much. We’ve got big plans for all the horses this season so I’m excited for things to get underway.

Thank you for reading and following my adventures.
