Aloha (Halo) was in the 2* at Gatcombe last weekend. He did an amazing dressage of 42 which left him in second place with 82 competitors in the section. He was awesome in the xc phase, he had an unlucky 20 when he hesitated off the “leaf pit” but I had the best round I have ever had on him. With 16 eliminated in the xc phase, a further 4 retired and not many clears I knew he had given me a great round. I sadly had to withdraw him before the show jumping phase as he had studded his elbow badly and wasn’t happy on it. I didn’t want to risk him as I feel we are making progress together. Halo is now having a break but with the winter to improve further I am hoping we can achieve bigger things next year because he really deserves it.
